  • It was founded in 1977 by Dr Kiran Seth who was awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution to the arts in 2009.
  • SPIC MACAY is basically a participatory student movement registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.
  • The movement was awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana award in 2011 in recognition of its contribution to youth development.
