Context: Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah today released Bureau of Police Research and Development publication “Data on Police Organizations as on 1.1.2019” in India.

The BPR&D has been publishing the “Data on Police Organizations” annually since 1986. What are the various publications released by BPR&D? The following important books/journals have also been published by the BPR&D, since October, 2019:- (i)      Police Drill Manual (Hindi Edition) (ii)     DIPTI (Directory of Indian Police Training Institutions) (iii)    Address of Shri Amit Shah during Valedictory Session of 47th All Indian Police Science Congress (AIPSC) on 29th November, 2020 at LucknowUttar Pradesh. (iv)    Profile Book of BPR&D (v)    News Bulletin -1st Edition (July-September, 2019) and 2nd Edition (October-December, 2019) (vi)   Indian Police Journal – Special issue on “Occupational Stress and Mental Health issues among Uniformed Personnel in India” (July-September, 2019). (vii)   Indian Police Journal– (October-December, 2019) About BPR&D The Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), was set up on 28 August 1970 in furtherance of the objective of the Government of India for the modernisation of police forces. At present it has 4 divisions – ResearchDevelopmentTraining and Correctional Administration. BPR&D has its headquarters located in New Delhi.
